On October 15th we hosted a Persian raw food feast for some of our followers.
All dishes are raw vegan and plant based and we kicked the evening off by welcoming guests with a drink of rose raspberry kefir served with vegetable crisps. This is a non alcoholic, slightly fizzy drink which is loaded with probiotics. It always serves as a great way to get the digestive juices flowing.
First came the starter of Middle Eastern marinaded vegetables served in flatbreads with zucchini hummus.
The main course was Persian patties served with mushrooms in cream sauce. Persian carrot salad, jeweled aromatic rice with a savoury lemon and coriander sauce.
Dessert was a spectacular creamy rose, pistachio and lemon cake with vanilla and rose pouring cream.
As if that wasn’t enough, next there came some after dinner herbal teas served with baklava and halva.
