The old year is almost done and I'm taking a few quiet moments to reflect and remember the year that we will be seeing out in a few short hours. In many ways it has been a bad year for so many people but I, for one, have many things to be grateful for.
It seems to me that we are all too happy to jump on the bandwagon and berate the year that has passed. I prefer to think of even the bad things that have happened as experiences. It is always a combination of these experiences that make us into the person we are today. No matter what life throws at you, there is no better time to "begin the new you" than right now.
Today, I am renewing my desire to focus on the things that truly matter to me in the coming year. I'm going to jump into January with energy and excitement. Q4 of 2016 was a super creative time for me and I want to take that into 2017. There are so many ideas to share with you all and I can't wait for next week to come and for business to be open as usual.
Your wishes and desires for 2017 will be individual to you. Write them down and in doing so change them from a mere passing fancy into something with real status in your mind. I have a beautiful, little art journal which I love to add to from time to time. It's personal to me and hasn't been seen by anyone else. When I'm in the mood I peruse the pages and add to them. It's a wonderful, creative journey.
Health and fitness is not just about the body but it encompasses the mind too. I know that I feel happier when I've been outside, filling my lungs with some fresh country air and looking at green fields and trees. I love to travel, keep my body moving, create personally crafted items and achieve whatever goals I may have set for myself. If I have all this going on in my day then I'm usually grinning from ear to ear by bed time.
It's always a "good time to begin" and the New Year is a classic new start for the majority of us. So, whatever you choose to do and however you plan to make changes, let's make it an awesome 2017. You owe it to yourself.
